I grew up in South Dakota, where Hubby and I also met and were married. I have one sister who is my absolute best friend and my dad is the best anyone could ever hope for. I am a conservative by nature, firm follower of Christ and lover of any and all things pink. I like to spend my time deep cleaning the house (and my Tuesday mornings in germaphobes anonymous), beautifying our front flower beds, tending to my herb garden and pretending that I know how to use my DSLR camera. I am a medical language specialist, crazy cat lady, pre-nursing student, future physician assistant, homeowner at the age of 20 and child at heart. I know what I want in life and refuse to let the military lifestyle make me believe that I can't accomplish it.
I started The Air Force Wife with one simple goal in mind: To educate and uplift military spouses. In my earlier posts, you will find tons of helpful information on basic training and tech school with my Crash Course in USAF BMT and read about Hubby and I's ups and downs through our first assignment move and life as newly weds. Through the past year, The AFW has transformed into more of my therapy than anything else - I absolutely love interacting with other military spouses because we understand each other. This life has gotten pretty crazy at times, but I wouldn't trade it for the world. Hope to see you around! :)
