Facts #7 and #8 |
Fact #8: I'm a better listener than I am a talker. More than once I have been mistaken for being "stuck up" because I really don't talk a whole lot when meeting new people. It isn't that I don't care about what you have to say - it's actually quite the opposite. I feel like I can offer people a heck of a lot more by just opening my ears and genuinely listening to what they are saying, rather than opening my big mouth and trying to butt in with my opinions. I also tend to get nervous when I am speaking to people that I don't already know or am not really comfortable with - I stutter, talk in riddles, and often times get downright embarrassed at how awkward I am when meeting new people!
