Awesome Channelside Fireworks & #5 |
Is this not the best fireworks finale you have ever seen? If your answer is No, as a matter of fact it is most certainly not, welllll then please take into account the fact that they were held over the gulf waters. Now are you totally completely convinced that it was the most awesome 4th of July finale you have ever witnessed (even if it was only through my iPhone video). I hope you all had a wonderful and relaxing 4th of July spent surrounded by the ones you love! I wish my family could have been down here to share the festivities of the day with me, but it will make them coming for Christmas that much more special.
Fact #5: I was raised extremely conservatively. I wasn't allowed to watch a lot of shows on TV because of disrespectful characters/profanity/etc., but I was always allowed to express myself (choose my hair cut, clothes, nail polish colors, etc.). I went to public school up until 7th grade, when I switched to a private Christian school. Once senior year rolled around, the graduating class of 2010 left our final "hurrah" by walking down the graduation aisle to the "Celebrate good times, com'on!" song...all twelve of us [we were quite the rule breakers, but we could be: we had teacher's kids in our class ;)]. Please don't mistake my being conservative and sheltered for being naive and oblivious - although a lot of conservative people would seem to prove that they are one in the same, I am not closed minded and am really quite down to Earth. Being conservative kinda goes hand in hand with my religious disposition, so I figure I may as well throw this in: I believe in a Higher Power. I do not believe in "religion", I believe in a relationship with Jesus my Lord and Savior. I tend to stay away from churches, "Christian" gatherings, etc. Not a fan of people who try to force their religion and beliefs down people's throat or all of the judgement that, unfortunately, often times comes as a package deal with "Christians" and the "church". I could go on about this topic forever, but for the sake of your sanity, I will end with this: I'm not a Christian because of what I say and do, I'm a Christian because of my heart which as a result does effect my words and actions. Make sense? I hope?? ;-P
