#10 and #11

Holy macaroni and
cheese was yesterday crazy! As you all know, we have been staying at A and M's house for the past month or so until our house was ready and we could close. Well, Hubby has been driving my Legacy around ever since his
junky, stupid, piece of crap, idiotic, rice burner car stopped running a couple of weeks back. No big deal. Until I realized that the only house key we had in our possession was on my key ring. To the Legacy. The Legacy that Hubby drove 45 minutes to the base for work that morning. And so my fun day began. Not only were A & M driving back with A's kiddos from West Virginia (meaning I needed to tidy up the house and make sure that everything was just as nice as it was when they left), but they had just recently set up one of those pools from Walmart (the big ones) so I needed to check the filter, put more chlorine in, etc. Oh, did I mention I was in a big hurry because it was 9 AM and I had volunteered to puppy sit one of Hubby's friend's dogs who hadn't been let out since 8:30 the night before? As I frantically finished cleaning the house and changing out the pool filter, I made one last quick trip around the house, ensuring that all previously lit candles had been blown out. I was golden. So I thought. I locked both the front and back doors and sprinted as I hit the button to close the garage door. I awkwardly maneuvered my legs as high as I could (more like as high as my tight American Eagle jeans would allow me to) to avoid triggering the sensor, which would halt the door from closing. Sweet victory! And then it hit me. My phone was still inside the house. The locked house. The locked house that's nearest key was 45 minutes away. Sweet deal. And so began my day. Thunderstorms with high winds and power outage capabilities, having to "restation" ourselves to Hubby's friend's house until we are able to move into ours, and Diezel pooping and peeing
literally all over these people's house all day long (guess who got to clean it up...this chick!) were a few of the other fantastical highlights of my day. Woo hoo! All of that to say that I didn't have internet access last night. And when I did, wracking my brain for two more fun facts didn't sound particularly
fun. Just sayin'. So here I am today, ready to go with my next two facts!
Fact #10: I've always had low self esteem. It takes me
hours to make "simple" decisions. I am notorious for second guessing myself. I'm getting better with this though every day.
Fact #11: I never went to parties growing up. I honestly never really did anything rebellious or naughty (shocking, I know). I once almost got expelled though for telling a kid who called me a "kiss ass" because I was standing up for my favorite teacher (I was really close to this teacher) to "shut the firetruck* up"
*obviously insert a different four letter "f" word here , getting up and leaving the classroom, crying in the bathroom for a few minutes, and then getting even more upset and deciding that up and driving home would be a good idea. Not so much. To make things even better, my daddy-o was the president of the school board at that time and was notified of my acting out almost immediately. I knew what I did was wrong. But if we are being completely honest here, I don't regret what I did. Other than kinda causing a scene and storming out. The speaking up part I'd do over again in a heart beat.
